KALTUME BULAMA GANA fsna
The artist is Nigerian. Hails from Yobe state. She holds both
bachelor and masters degrees in Fine Arts, Mosaics, Murals &
Painting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Nigeria. She has
also done extensive studies in Islamic Arts from Mimar Sinan
University in Istanbul, Turkey. Kaltume has worked with the Kano
State History and Culture, joined the National Gallery of Art, as
Curator Head of Kano office and later as the Zonal Coordinator north
west. Her works over the past three decades has received various
reviews and awards from within and outside her home country. She has
held over fifty group and solo exhibitions. Kaltume tries to
document, sensitise and relate to the experiences of the society and
culture in which she lives and has been a responsible communicator
in the projection of her heritage through her works of art. She is
presently the CEO National Troupe of Nigeria.

Abstract
My challenge is to document, sensitize and relate to the
experiences of the society and culture in which I live and to be a
responsible communicator in the projection and relation of my
heritage through my art work very clearly expressed in my
landscapes, abstracts, paintings, relief murals, marble works and
mosaics
